Hello. Today I tell how to crochet elephant amigurimi. I decided to knit a head with a single fabric with a trunk, the trunk is not sewn. Therefore, it began to knit from him with the transition already on elephant`s head. Knit the body separately and sew to the head. Hands are sewn, ears are also sewn. The result was a very cute baby elephant, which will delight children, will be a wonderful trinket or interior accessory.

What is needed for knitting an elephant:
- Yarn for knitting toys, for example, YarnArt Jeans, Gazzal Baby Cotton, Alize Cotton Gold.
- Hook No.2 for the proposed yarn options; for another yarn, select a hook 1-1.5 mm smaller than the declared by the manufacturer.
- Filler – holofiber (you can take any other filler like sintepon, if desired).
- Needle for stitching.
Conventions:
- sc – single crochet,
- ch – chain,
- inc – increase,
- dec – decrease,
- sl st – slip stitch

Legs
Knit two details. On the first leg, cut the thread and fasten, and on the second – do not cut, but continue knitting according to the body pattern.
1 – amigurumi ring 6 sc
2 – inc x 6 times (12)
3 – 12 sc
Body
You got two small legs, one with a working thread. Next we will knit on both legs to combine them and go to the body.
4 – on the first leg – 3 sc, inc, 2 sc, go to the second leg, 1 sc, inc, 3 sc, inc, 3 sc, inc, 2 sc, go to the first leg, 1 sc, inc, 3 sc, inc (30)
5-11 – 30 sc
Next, we make decrease on the sides of the body:
12 – dec, 13 sc, dec, 13 sc (28)
13 – dec, 12 sc, dec, 12 sc (26)
14 – dec, 11 sc, dec, 11 sc (24)
15 – dec, 10 sc, dec, 10 sc (22)
16 – dec, 9 sc, dec, 9 sc (20)
17 – dec, 8 sc, dec, 8 sc (18)

Cut and fasten the thread. Leave a length of thread long, they will sew the body to the head.
Head
We start to knit from the trunk with the transition to the head of an elephant in a single fabric.
1 – 4 ch
2 – skip 2 loops, 1 sc, 3 sc in 1 loop, 1 sc, 3 sc in 1 loop, skip 1 loop, sl st in first loop (in a row you get 8 loops)
3 – in back loops 8 sc
4 – 2 sc, dec, 2 sc, dec (6)
5 – 6 sc
Next, we make increases on the sides of the trunk:
6 – 2 sc, inc, 2 sc, inc (8)
7 – 3 sc, inc, 3 sc, inc (10)
8 – 4 sc, inc, 4 sc, inc (12)
9 – inc х 4 times, 8 sc (16) – increase in the back.
10 – 9 sc, inc, 5 sc, inc (18) – side increases.
11 – (1 sc, inc) х 5 times, 8 sc (23) – increase in the back.
12 – inc х 3 times, 4 sc, inc, 4 sc, inc х 3 times, 8 sc (30) – increases for elephant cheek.
Further increases on the sides of the head:
13 – 3 sc, inc, 14 sc, inc, 11 sc (32)
14 – 4 sc, inc, 15 sc, inc, 11 sc (34)
15 – 5 sc, inc, 16 sc, inc, 11 sc (36)

Next, we make 6 decreases in a row to close the knitting of the head. As you knit, fill the head with filler:

27 – (1 sc, dec) х 6 times (12)

Tighten the hole, cut and hide the thread.
Hands
Knit two details:
1 – amigurumi ring 6 sc
2 – (inc, 1 sc) x 3 times (9)
3-7 – 9 sc
8 – (1 sc, dec) x 3 times (6)
9 – dec x 3 times (3)
Cut the thread long enough for sewing. Sew hands.
Ears
Knit two details:
1 – amigurumi ring 6 sc
